Procreate's support

The whole world is aware of Australia's bushfires. We have seen many catastrophes, and there are always people trying to help. Sometimes I'm very disappointed seeing haters' comments, but every help matters, right? Of course, many causes need our attention. There are topics and things what we should look at and try to help as well. But I'm the type of the person who appreciates every little effort. Some people are not helping with making comments that other causes also need help, and in the end, they are just spamming the internet and spreading negativity - acts matter, not words.

I'm following Procreate on every social network, and I was happy to see that they didn't stay in the shadows. In the end, Australia is their home. They recently released a campaign Australian Bushfire Appeal: Buy a print to help support Australia and donated $100,000 to bushfire relief by themselves. Artists cooperating with Procreate have generously contributed their time to create beautiful new Australian-themed prints to raise additional funds for two charities working on the forefront of the disaster - the Australian Red Cross, and the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

Other artists help

I did a little research, and of course, Procreate is not the only one helping. Many artists are expressing their sadness for the people and animals with poignant tribute art. If you don't have the resources, you can always share support in different ways. Not everyone can run a campaign, and some of us are happy just holding their own lives together. So we can show that we care and that we feel the sadness.

Art Fights Fire is an online art auction, prompted by the bushfire crisis. Organised by The Design Files. Over 30 remarkable, collectable Australian artists have generously donated their artwork for bushfire relief - with reserve prices set at 50% of their usual price! They were aiming to raise $50,000 in 7 days. In the end, they raised much more - $160,770.00.

Helping is caring

The internet is full of these beautiful gestures; just look around you. Google it. Take a pencil and draw. Maybe you have an idea. Perhaps you want to help somewhere else or you already have a plan. One way or another every action means that you care and try to make the world a better place.

Across Australia, the arts community is rallying together to support those impacted by devastating bushfires.
Art Guide has compiled a roundup of fundraising exhibitions and relief efforts by artists, galleries and arts organisations, which they will continue to update in the coming weeks.
